YOGA FOR EVERYONE

My Yoga Journey

Yoga has never been anything less than a lifestyle for me. Apart from transforming my life by helping me to be present, it has also created a balance for me where I had none while ultimately aiding my general growth. Undoubtedly, I have successfully overcome many challenges through my Yoga skills, and evident among these was how it helped heal the Crohn's disease I was diagnosed with after serving in the US Military. Lost and confused, with zero knowledge of my best bet; I found Yoga, and it became everything for me. I got mesmerized in its warm embrace; it became my shelter and my shield.

Vee Gomez - Founder

An Award-Winning member of the Santa Monica community and known beach dweller, Vee Gomez is the CEO and lead yoga instructor of Beach Yoga SoCal. On a mission to spread mindful living, Vee loves teaching yoga on the beach and reminding students of the ocean’s therapeutic properties. “Yoga is simply being aware. Aware of one’s surroundings. Aware of the body. Aware of the breath,” she says. “Once you have this awareness, you’ll move more fluidly through life. This is what I aim to teach my students. The ocean, sand, and air help me do that.” In her classes, Vee shows students how to connect with their environment while bending and moving the body in a functional way. When she’s not teaching, Vee spends time with her husband and three dogs. She loves eating different foods and writing poetry in her free time.
